Optimo Cleaner — Android privacy policy

Effective date: 29 September 2026. Developer: Cenk Yilmaz.

Optimo Cleaner helps you review duplicate and similar photos, large photos and videos, screenshots, and create smaller photo copies.

Photos and videos With your permission, Optimo reads the photos and videos available through Android's media library. It processes thumbnails, file names, sizes, dimensions, and file content locally to identify duplicates and suggest similar photos. It does not upload your photos, videos, or scan results. You may grant access to selected media, where supported, and change access in Android Settings. Limited access produces limited scan results.

You choose which items to remove. Android asks you to confirm moving selected media to the system trash. Trash retention and restoration depend on Android and your gallery provider. Moving media to trash may not immediately free storage. Photo compression creates a new JPEG copy; the original stays unchanged. Compressed copies remain in your photo library after uninstalling Optimo.

Local storage Optimo stores language preferences and a local count of media bytes moved to trash. Scan results are held locally. Temporary compression files are deleted after processing. Uninstalling removes the app's private preferences and cache, but does not remove your original media, compressed copies, or media in system trash.

Purchases Optional subscriptions use Google Play Billing. Google processes payment and subscription information under its own privacy policy. Optimo receives product and purchase information needed to determine whether paid features are available and acknowledge purchases. Optimo does not receive payment card details or Google account passwords. Subscriptions are managed in Google Play.

Advertising and analytics This Android version includes no advertising SDK or separate user-behavior analytics SDK. Google Play Billing includes technical logging and diagnostic components that communicate with Google about billing operations and errors, with app and device metadata. This does not include your media files or library scan results. Google handles this data under its privacy policy. It does not request contacts, location, microphone, accessibility, or unrestricted all-files access. It does not have its own user account system or photo-upload server.
