Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using PhoneticSleep ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple or Android devices you own or control.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App for commercial purposes without written permission
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

PhoneticSleep offers optional in-app purchases to unlock premium features. On iOS, all purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; on Android, by Google through Google Play. We do not store payment information.

Auto-renewable subscriptions. PhoneticSleep Pro is offered as a monthly and a yearly auto-renewable subscription, which unlocks all languages, removes advertising, and enables every feature. The price and duration of each option are shown in the app before you purchase, in your local currency.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, where one is offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

On Android (Google Play):

• Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price of the plan you selected, until you cancel it.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in the Google Play app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current period.

The app also offers a 3-day trial that is unlocked inside the app and requires no payment. It is separate from any App Store or Google Play introductory offer and simply expires after three days.

Purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, contact Apple directly at reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play purchases, see Google Play's refund policy.

Previously purchased content can be restored at any time using the "Restore Purchases" feature in the app at no additional charge.

4. App Store EULA and Google Play Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. On Android, use of Google Play is subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PhoneticSleep applies a targeted memory reactivation protocol: material you study while awake is replayed quietly during early sleep. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome. Published effects are modest and vary considerably between individuals, and learning new material from scratch while asleep is not supported by research. Individual outcomes vary with sleep quality, prior knowledge of the language, and other factors.

THE APP IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Consult a healthcare professional if you have sleep disorders or hearing concerns.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including the IPA phoneme database, audio synthesis algorithms, and user interface design, is owned by PhoneticSleep and protected by copyright law.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes shall be resolved in Turkish courts.
